Emergency Resuscitation (CPR)
This course is suitable for anyone who wishes to learn how to give CPR to someone who is suffering from a cardiac arrest. This course includes a basic overview on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
You are not required to hold a current first aid certificate to take this course.
On completing your course, successful candidates will be able to:
- Managing an incident.
- Priorities of first aid.
- CPR – infant, child and adult.
- AED overview.
- Recovery position.
- Disorders of circulation, including heart attack.
Assessment
You will be assessed throughout the course. Evidence of underpinning knowledge and practical skills competence will be required for certification.
Certificate duration: 3 years
