This course, delivered to groups on customer premises only, gives information and training on how to recognise and treat anaphylactic shock, including auto-injector training and provides the learner with the confidence to deal with an allergy related emergency effectively – potentially saving a life.

You are not required to hold a current first aid certificate to take this course.

On completing your course, successful candidates will learn:

• Definition of anaphylaxis
• Causes of anaphylaxis
• Recognise the symptoms and signs of anaphylaxis
• Precautionary measures
• Visual protocol
• Primary survey and CPR for adults, infants and children
• Recovery position

Assessment

You will be assessed throughout the course. Evidence of underpinning knowledge and practical skills competence will be required for certification.

Certificate duration: 3 years
