Scottish First Aid Awards

On Friday 28th March 2025, St Andrew’s First Aid will host their annual Scottish First Aid Awards at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow. The Awards recognise extraordinary people and help raise awareness of the importance of first aid. We know first hand that it can be the difference between life and death.

2025 Scottish First Aid Awards nominations are NOW OPEN!

Closing date 20th December 2024.

There are 9 categories for nominations so if you know someone or an organisation who deserves one of the these prestigious awards then nominate now. Each finalist will receive one complimentary ticket to the event.

Nominate an individual or organisation who has excelled in promoting first aid education in their community – ultimately an ambassador for promoting health and safety. Click here to nominate a Community First Aid Champion 2025.

Nominate an individual or establishment within the education sector who promotes an exemplary level of first aid knowledge and practice amongst staff and pupils and has helped build resilience through mental health awareness. Click here to nominate for the First Class Award 2025.

Nominate an employer who demonstrates an outstanding level of investment in first and mental health awareness, creating a workplace that encourages staff to support each other. Click here to nominate for Employer of the Year for First Aid Excellence 2025.

Nominate in recognition of the outstanding achievements of a St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteer Corps Company which is chosen based on activities throughout the year, participation rates of volunteers in their communities and at events, as well as governance and record-keeping. Nominate an individual or team who work for one of Scotland’s Emergency Services (NHS, Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coastguard and Mountain Rescue) who has saved (or provided significant assistance) a life through the delivery of first aid, either on or off duty, or applied significant first aid techniques in a high-pressure situation. Nominate a young person under the age of 18 years, who has saved (or provided significant assistance in saving) a life through the delivery of first aid, or applied significant first aid techniques in a high pressure situation. Click here to nominate for the Young First Aid Hero 2025 award.

Nominate a St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteer aged between 5 and 24 years of age, who has excelled at learning, teaching, practicing or supporting first aid to an exemplary level – ultimately ensuring more people can be the difference between life and death. Nominate a St Andrew’s First Aid Volunteer aged 25 years or over, who has excelled at learning, teaching, practicing or supporting first aid cover to an exemplary level – ultimately ensuring more people can be the difference between life and death.
